About

K.F.C. in real life are my initials. I can't remember when I came up with the other half to this name, but it was during the AOL instant messenger days and K.F.C. Loves You kind of just stuck! I created kfclovesyou in 2012 because I had so much I wanted to share. I wanted to document all the things that interested me from beauty, fashion, food, travel, and more. I felt like it was a waste to not share or talk about them which is why I created this blog. I like to call this my 'everything' blog so I hope there's a little bit of something for everyone that stops by. Please feel free to say hi!

In addition to blogging, I have a passion for the aerial arts, especially pole dancing and aerial hoop/lyra. I'm a lead instructor and head of Marketing at Pole Fitness Seattle and if you're interested in taking a class, PM me for a special promo code! I also work in eCommerce Marketing so I honestly don't even know how I have time to blog but when you love something, you always find a way =)

I was born and raised in Seattle, WA and have not lived anywhere else. Seattle is my home and I wouldn't have it any other way, though I do tend to love Malaysia too since the majority of my mom's family lives there and we try to go back every so often! I also love visiting Hong Kong too, which is where my dad's family is from. I speak two dialects of Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) though the latter is somewhat shaky. I hope to visit and share as much as I can through my life and travels and can't wait to see what is to come in the future.

Thank you for reading!

FAQs

Who takes your photos?
Usually myself, my mom, my cousin, or really any friends that are around me! When my aunt and uncle visit, they'll help shoot me (check out their blog Mirrorless Planet) and recently I've had my some photos done with Jenna Lynn Photography (she's amazing btw, check her out!).

What kind of camera + gear do you use?
I'm not professional in any  sense and am saving for a good camera to use, but for now my Samsung Galaxy S4, my mom's iPhone 5c, and my friend's other iPhone 6's seem to be doing the trick! You have to work with what you got! I also use a Canon G7x and just recently upgraded to the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II.

How do you edit your pictures?
I will use the Pixlr app online, VSCO, Snapseed, and Facetune on my phone.
