Black and Gray with a Pop of Red for the New Year Holiday

We're only a couple days away from the New Year and I couldn't be more excited! There are a lot of fun things happening and I especially can't wait to go on my trip to Asia for Chinese New Year!
There's also something about the holidays and this time of year in general that just makes me feel a little girlier than usual too (for me at least) and it gave me a chance to finally wear this Levi's Plaid Jacket I bought in the end of summer during the Nordstrom #NSale!

How to Stay Motivated During Dark Winter Days

With Winter here in the PNW, the days have just become darker earlier and earlier. I don't know about you but this type of weather definitely makes me feel less motivated and all I want to do is cuddle up in my warm blanket by the fireplace! It also doesn't help if you live in an area that is getting colder and wetter or nearly freezing (hello Seattle!). Today, I'm sharing a few tips on how to stay motivated during this season as fall turns into winter and the days become colder and darker.

Casual in Olive Green and Cherry Red

Happy Friday to you all! Today's outfit post features some old favorite pieces that I still wear to this day. I'm also adding a touch of festive-ness since I'm wearing green and red (or at least color variations of them!) which I thought was appropriate to share for the Christmas holiday coming up this weekend =)

Dip and Sip with TaZa Design

*This post is not sponsored but I did receive the products mentioned below. I am not getting paid to write this review; all thoughts and opinions are strictly my own. Thank you for supporting the companies and brands that make KFC Loves You possible!
I was recently sent a couple of the TaZa Dip and Sip Stainless Steel Straws in their Slim & Straight and Extra Wide & Angled styles. I was intrigued about this product when they approached me mainly because of their mission behind their product; reducing the use of single-use plastic straws by using reusable, stainless steel straws to protect Mother Nature. I am a big proponent of recycling and composting and anything I can do to help the planet, no matter how small, I will do my best to do so!

Navy Blue Stormy Rain Boots

Haven't posted an outfit post in a while (sorry guys!) but here's from about a month back. It is definitely WAY too cold to wear shorts out now, even with tights, but I love this look and I wear everything in rotation in this outfit (minus the shorts!), especially these Jeffrey Campbell 'Stormy' rain boots!

Today I’m sharing part 2 of my long hair series that covers my daily hair routine! I’ll be discussing what I do to take care of it and products I use on a daily basis.

Long Hair Series || My Hair Journey - Hairstory

Hey everyone! As promised, I've finally taken the time to talk about my hair and decided to break it up into different parts in my "Long Hair Series." This series will include what I do when I wash it, what products I use, how I take care of it, hair accessories, treatments and more!

Denim with Nike Juvenate Sneakers

It finally stopped raining for a couple of days and it was sunny and warm enough out to spend the day without a thick coat or rain jacket.

Black & Red Air Jordan Retro 11s and a Motorcycle

There's something about the combo of black and red that just draws to me, especially when faux leather is involved. I finally decided to put this BLANKNYC faux leather jacket from the Nordstrom #nsale to use for a shoot and it turned into a fun, spur-of-the-moment outfit shoot with my cousin's Honda Nighthawk!

Current Favorites || Fall 2016 Edition

We're halfway through Fall and now that November is here, I wanted to share a few of my favorite items of the season (in flatlay form of course)!  For the beauty and fashion side of things, these items have been on repeat, and of course I had to share some favorite snacks and goodies!

Neutral Staples for Fall

I love wearing bomber jackets during the fall, especially if there is a hood attached to it. I don't have to worry about if it rains or wearing extra layers that'll feel to tight. Another thing I notice about my style during fall is that I tend to gravitate towards neutrals.

Tasting Boiling Point's New Soup Recipes & Menu Items

Yesterday, I was invited to a private tasting with Boiling Point at their Edmonds, WA location to try out some of their new menu items including appetizers, new Thai Fusion Hot Soup, and desserts!

New Pocky Review: Lemon, Matcha, and Azuki

I haven't done a snack review in a while and wanted to share this one while you can still find these Pocky snacks at the store! Today, we're featuring Pocky from Japan (a lot of the ones here are made in the U.S.) in two specialty flavors, Wagokoro Uji Matcha (the city of Uji is known for their green tea), Wagokoro Hokkaido Azuki (azuki is red beans), and a midi lemon flavor.

Review || LV 2016 Mini Pochette Accessoires Monogram Transatlantic Print

Louis Vuitton recently released this beautiful print "evoking the golden age of Transatlantic cruises" and I'm not quite sure what the whole collection is called, but let's go with the Transatlantic Cruise Collection! Today, I'll be reviewing this Mini Pochette Accessoires in the iconic Monogram canvas with the Transatlantic Cruise print.

SAN FRANCISCO 2016 TRAVEL DIARY || DAYS ONE AND TWO

First couple attempts at vlogging and editing from my recent trip to San Francisco. Enjoy!

RESTAURANT ROUND UP: SUMMER 2016 FAVORITES

My food posts have been sluffin' lately and I'm hoping it all changes when I get back to a more regular schedule! With that said, I've rounded up a list of my favorite restaurants over the summer time (mainly July - September) since I missed posting restaurant round-ups for those months! Many of these will be old favorites but I have a few new places I got to try that made it to my favorites! Again, new restaurants will be marked with a (*).

Feelin' Catty in GlassesShop Eyewear

Today's blog post is all about glasses! I've worn glasses ever since middle school and used to be a bit embarrassed and shy in them. Then came contact lenses and I was a whole new person. It's funny how things can change because now, I actually love the look of glasses. The particular pair I'll be talking about today is from a site where you can get glasses online from the site GlassesShop.com.

RED IN PIKE PLACE MARKET || NIGHT SHOOT

I was lucky enough to have my family visit a few weeks ago and even more lucky that my aunt and uncle enjoy taking photos (see their stuff at mirrorlessplanet.com). My uncle does most of the photo taking and of course I'm more than willing to be his model for some portrait shots! After dinner around Seattle's Iconic Pike Place Market, we were able to shoot around in this near empty location and play around with a few camera settings. Sushi was on the menu so I felt like dressing it up a little bit w/ pops of red, but still keeping it casual with some sneakers.

DENIM ON DENIM WITH A HINT OF NEUTRAL

One of my favorite combinations to wear lately has been denim on denim, also known as the Canadian Tuxedo. My personal preference is usually with darker denim on the bottom and lighter denim on top (I don't own any really light washed denim atm so that's mainly why, haha)

SAN FRANCISCO || TRAVEL PHOTO DIARY

Towards the end of last month, I went on a quick weekend trip to visit a friend in San Francisco! I went with my other girl friend and we had a jam-packed three days there eating, sightseeing, and more eating! Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite spots in this photo diary! Let's start off with my friends place with the cutest rooftop and view of the city, including the Golden Gate Bridge.
I would also like to thank Gigi for having us over and for also helping me take photos and to Marites for being my travel buddy and filming for me too!

#INSANESUNDAES w/ VIVO 53 BELLEVUE

A couple weeks ago, I was invited by the wonderful people at Vivo 53 to try out their regular menu items as well as their new Insane Sundaes! I was extremely excited because I had seen images of these sundaes and knew I couldn't pass up this opportunity!

FRENCH MACARON CLASS WITH BELLS PASTRIES

Photos by Tanya Willioughby
About a month ago, I had the privilege of taking a French Macaron class with Jasmin Bell of Bells Pastries! This was an awesome experience and I can't thank Jasmin enough for the invite to try out one of her classes. She offers a variety of baking classes but being the French Macaron lover that I am, I had to take this that one!

#NSALE 2016 Haul - First YouTube Video!

I made my first YouTube video and I'm pretty excited. It's not the best since I sort of rushed but I really wanted to get this out before the sale was over! Thanks for your support! =)

NIKE AIR MAX 1 FROM THE NORDSTROM SALE

I'm a sucker for sneakers and when I saw this pair of Nike Air Max 1 in this bone and pink colorway  at the Nordstrom sale, I couldn't help but pick them up. I also don't have pairs of Air Max 1s or shoes quite in this color so that's my way of getting another pair of sneakers, lolz. =P

A DAY AT THE MUSEUM OF FLIGHT

This post comes just in time (or more like a couple days after) the Boeing Centennial: 100 year anniversary! I spent a day around the area and basically had it all to myself!

#NSALE: NORDSTROM EARLY ACCESS ANNIVERSARY SALE

It's that time of year again for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! From now until July 22, card holders have EARLY ACCESS to the sale before it is open to the public. Prices go up on August 8! Each year I get really excited for this time sale and for the most part like the selection this year.

I've gathered a list of items of my top picks this year and may or may not have already bought a few items already #sorrynotsorry. I'm a sucker for shoes and I loved the Nike selection this year!

NEW Pocky and Pretz Snack Review!

There's a variety of new Glico Pocky and Pretz flavors out in the market and I thought I'd give some thoughts and opinions on them! If you haven't tried either of these, just imagine Pocky as a biscuit dipped in a flavored chocolate/cream, and Pretz as a savory biscuit stick. Today, I'm reviewing two Pocky flavors and three Pretz flavors!

JUNE 2016 RESTAURANT ROUND-UP

It's that time again for my monthly Restaurant round-up! June definitely flew by and I can't believe we're already halfway through the year. Either way, I had a chance to try a few new places last month and those will be marked with an (*). I haven't been keeping up with my actual restaurant reviews and I'm hoping to get back to it soon! Anyways, enjoy these #foodporn posts for the month of June!

Casual in Mules

I've never owned a pair of mules before and I don't know why! I have definitely been missing out. I think that maybe the word "mule" itself made me feel like it was too adult for me, but reality check, I am an adult >.<

NAUTICAL VIBES IN THIS BETSEY JOHNSON BAG

I've always been a fan of Betsey Johnson's items, especially her unique bags. They come in such fun colors and prints, it makes me want all of them! I usually find a good deal on them at either Ross or Marshalls and I scored this patriotic, red-white-and-blue zipped bag from Marshalls the other week! There was something about the blue and white stripes with a bit of red that spoke to me. It gave off a nautical vibe and is something I felt would be great to add to my collection for a fun summer bag!

SWATCH + REVIEW: TOM FORD VIOLET FATALE LIP COLOR

I'm the biggest sucker when it comes to purple lipsticks and love them in all shades from the faint lilacs to the deep, dark, bold purples. This Violet Fatale Lip Color by Tom Ford is no exception! I have never tried any Tom Ford products before, but the lovely girls from my studio gifted it to me (they know me so well!) and I was in love right away!

Pop of Color in this Orange Cartoon 3-D Bag

I've been sluffing on the posts (again...sigh) and I'm trying to be better! Here's a quick post featuring one of my current favorite bags I found on Amazon! It's the 3D Effect bag that definitely makes you do a double-take.

MAY RESTAURANT ROUND-UP

Aaand, here is my May Restaurant Round-Up! I can't believe how fast the month flew by and it's basically half way through the year already. Follow my food journey in Seattle and again, please note that all restaurants marked with a * is my first time trying it!

April Restaurant Round-Up

DRY SPARKLING FUJI APPLE PRE-LAUNCH PARTY: RECAP

Today's post features a little bit of some #FBF action. About a month ago, I was invited to the Dry Sparkling HQ to see their new event space in the historic Smith Tower in Seattle and sip their new Fuji Apple DRY Sparkling soda paired with gourmet bites from AQUA by El Gaucho and some mixed cocktails.
(All photos by me unless otherwise stated)

PEACH TOP AND BLACK OXFORDS IN FREMONT

I've worn this outfit more than a few times since I took these photos and they still are a favorite.

GREEN POLKA DOT DRESS UNDERNEATH THE CHERRY BLOSSOMS

A little bit of a Flashback Friday post, but I forgot to share these photos earlier! I spammed my Instagram feed with these pretty Sakura/Cherry Blossom photos but now you can see them all in one spot! It was the perfect Spring day, almost 2 months ago that I was went to my favorite spot in Capitol Hill to take some photos in some of my favorite pieces.
