Le Pichet-French Restaurant Review

One of my favorite restaurants of all time serves some of the best traditional and regional French cuisine. I went here the other day with a few friends over the holidays (it's basically a tradition) and we just enjoyed some good company and excellent food!

I love these girls!

New L'oreal Extraordinaire by Colour Riche

Here is just a quick post of the newest thing I have seen at my local Rite Aid today that I wanted to mention!

This item is a new liquid lipstick/gloss type item, reminiscent of the  Aqua Lacquer Lip Shine (or whatever they're called!) That L'oreal already came out with early this year/end of last year.

There are 16 colors total on the display and they range from soft pinks to nudes and corals. I thought they were lipsticks at fiirst from the packaging, but they are indeed a liquid lipstick/gloss type product witha doefood applicator.
I didn't purchase any because I thought they were too similar to the lip shine lacquers, and honestly, I don't need anymore! But then again, that could change later on since I am a lip junkie!

WILL YOU BE TRYING OUT THISS NEW LINE FROM L'OREAL? WHICH COLORS WOULD YOU GET??

My Top Movies for 2013

So this year, I actually went to see quite a few movies, and below is just a list (with reasons) on why I feel like they were some of my favorites! Also, there were a lot of movies I haven't seen yet (like The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug--which I will see on Jan 1st!) that I will list at the end for movies I still need to see!

Now by no means were most of these award winning, or even critically excellent. These are just my own favorites and for my own reasons!

TokyoMilk Dark #17 Arsenic Perfume: Review

I've been on the hunt for a new perfume that is unique in smell and more 'sexy.'
I've been eyeing the Tokyo Milk Femme Fatale Collection  but didn't know how they'd be since I couldn't find them in stores to smell and test out. Recently, Sephora started carrying the whole dark line and I was pumped! I smelled all the perfumes and when I smelled #17 Arsenic, I knew I found the dark, sexy, mature, nighttime smell I've been looking for.

New !! Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette--coming soon!

I'm sure you have all heard by now that Urban Decay will be launching their newest Naked 3 palette fairly soon (hopefully this year?)

image from musingsofamuse.com

Now i'm not much of a face makeup/eye makeup person but this palette looks very impressive, mainly due to the more mauve and rose gold colors involved.
It's very soft and romantic and is a bit more tamed down and girly. The packaging is evne in this lovely rose gold color with gold writing. If I wore eyeshadow, I think I would actually get this palette and be thankful I didn't get the other ones before because this is definitely my favorite looking one out of the 3 (4 if you include the basics palette).

Over at temptalia, they have a whole swatch comparison blog on this new upcoming palette so click HERE to see the some of them!

Will you be picking up the the Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette? Do you already have another one of the Naked palettes? Please share some thoughts below!

LUSH's Santa Baby Lip Tint Ltd Ed: Swatch+Review

I hopped into LUSH the other day dying to see their holiday stuff and I stumbled onto this:
Picture taken outdoors
From the LUSH webstite:

"Sweet Christmas Kisses
A deep, classic red, this tint provides a colorful moisture boost for the lips. A rich base of fair trade shea butter and cocoa butters will soften the lips and keep them hydrated through the chilly winter months, while vitamin-rich carrot oil nourishes and softens. If a super hydrating base and gorgeous color weren’t enough, we’ve also added a sweet cola flavor made up of festive date and cherry extracts! Apply sparingl for a subtle rouge tint, or more generously for a bright crimson pout. Smooth onto lips and make sure your under-the-mistletoe kisses are as sweet as can be."

Picture taken indoors

This product comes in a small tin is fully packed with a very pigmented lip tint product. However, I did not find it moisturizing at all and felt it become more drying (maybe it was just the one I have?). This is definitely a product where you need to exfoliate your lips beforehand because dry flakes will show up and the pigment will attach itself to them making them stand out more.

Based off different lighting, the color can look more red/orange or red/pink (like the photo with flash). In real life, the color looks more like a neutral red that leans slightly cool (to me). As for the smell, the main reason I wanted to buy this was after reading it had a cola scent. I was expending a fully loaded, hardcore, fizzing coca-cola scent, but was highly disappointed. The smell was so faint, I have to really get my nose close to the pot to smell it and even when it is on my lips, it doesn't really linger.

The color payoff, however, is excellent, and is wonderful if you want a nice rich red whether having it subtle or bold. A little does go a long way for this so it will give you a range of what you need when it comes to the color department. If your lips are nice and soft and exfoliated, it looks like a nice matte red on. However, I would recommend a balm before hand or mixing this with a balm to have a nicer application and less drying feeling. I did find the color to last long and kind of left a staining effect, however, it did become drying and I had to put a balm on top. The color does transfer fairly easily though so be careful about getting it on our teeth and smudging. It isn't exactly a grab a go item since ou will need a mirror to apply it since it is so pigmented. I can also see this product being nice on the cheeks as well for a just coming inside from a cold walk type of flushed look.

I would recommend this as a cute gift or stocking stuffer (maybe paired up with the lip scrup which I didn't get because I still have one), for lip lovers or someone who loves red lips.
I will however be returning mines because it wasn't what I expected and I think I may have just gotten a bad one because the product was a lot drier than I think it should be. Other than that, it would be great to have if you wanted some red in your life.
They retail at $8.95 and are limited edition so be sure to get them while you can!

Do you love LUSH products? What do you want to get this holiday season??

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer & Matte Balm in Whimsical and Striking: Swatch + Review

I wanted to try one from both the  Lacquer and Matte sets and picked up #115 Whimsical and #240 Striking.

Beanies + Crop Tops

Fall time lets me really play around with layers and bring out my favorite wheat colored Timberland boots! I don't get to wear them enough even though I have had them for over 7 years. They're still popular and a good staple to have.
I also think that even though it may be cold out, it doesn't necessarily mean to shy away for crop tops. Crop tops aren't only for spring and summer. If you layer it up right, you can wear them even when it gets a bit colder. I kind of wished my pants were more high-waisted, or the crop top was longer, but I really liked the pattern on the one I chose so I decided to stick with it.
