Empties #4-Winter 2014

Spring is here and I thought it would be a good time to throw out any old products/used products and do an empties post! (These are lowkey some of my favorites because it is just so satisfying to see everything being used up!)

I didn't use these all up at one time though! Some were just old that needed to be tossed and some of these have taken a long while to use up. I think I need to do these more frequently so I don't have such massive posts..Hah.
Anways, Let's start!

Mascaras
Mascaras are probably what I tried the most of last year and I accumulated a lot more than I need. I only used up two of these completely, the other ones got old or I really didn't get along with it and can't exactly give someone else to use!
1) Covergirl Clump Crusher-Surprisingly I didn't like it and found it flaking on me, and this was the waterproof kind. Not going to repurchase.
2) Physician's Forumla Organic Wear-I really wanted to like this since the ingredients are more clean, but this didn't do much for me either since it also smudged/flaked on me as well. It also clumped on me which iI don't like at all. Not going to repurchase.
3) Revlon Lash Potion Grow Luscious-I actually got along with this one really well! I pickd out the dark brown color by accident but it worked out just fine. It gave me nice separation and length and a little volume and didn't flake on me at all. I would repurchase
3) Maybelline The Rocket-This is probably my favorite mascara that I have tried so far. This one actually gave me more length than I thought, which I actually prefer over to volumization. It didn't budge on me at all which I also look for in a mascara. I have already repurchased another one.
4) Sample size of Lancome's Hypnose - I did not like this sample at all! It left clumps on my lashes and it took awhile to brush out. The application was also uneven so it took a lot of work to even it out. I wouldn't buy this product in its full size form.

Other Makeup
3 of these I actually used up completely and the foundation just got gross on me.
1) Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched-absolute favorite. Love the smell and how it feels on my lips. If I didn't have so many other Baby Lips products, I would definitely buy this particular scent, and I like that it is clear too--you don't always need tint or color!
2) Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine--love the smell and feel as well as the pale pink tone to it. I would repurchase but probably not for awhile.
3) Wet n' Wild Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer in 183 Sun kissed - Tinted moisturizers are still heavy to me so I don't use it all over the face and if I do, I will add my regular facial moisturizer to it as well. I liked using this actually as a concealer for my eye area since it is so lightweight and it just evens out the skin tone nicely. Plus, it is very affordable! I have already purchased another one.
4) Milani HD Advanced Concealer - this is very reminiscent of the YSL Touche e clat (sp?) as well as other brush tip highlighter/brightener/concealers from L'oreal, Revlon and the oh-so-popular Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch. I did enjoy it and was surprised I used the whole thing so quickly. It did its job concealing darkness and was very blendable. In the future I would repurchase it because I do like it better than the Maybelline one I am currently using.

Facial Wipes

1) Daiso Rose Scented Makeup Removin Wipes-This is the 2nd box I have used and will continue to repurchase them. They're onlt $1.50 and get the job done, plus, they smell like roses! The only downside is that they will dry up if you don't carefully reseal the package inside!
2) Sample of Costco's Kirkland Cleansing Towelettes-I actually used this more so for wiping my hands down after applying gradual tanning lotion. Nothing special. I probably wouldn't buy them though.
3) Target's Up Baby Wipes for Sensitive Skin - These are so good for everything to cleaning off counters, swatches, and even used on your face to wipe off any dirt and grime. I will continue to keep repurchasing these.

Skin Care
A couple of these got old so I needed to get rid of them, the other ones I used up.
1) Daiso Milky Lotion - I liked the idea of it but found myself never reaching for it. The lotion inside is so liquidy, really almost like milk, and got kind of messy since it just runs out of the bottle. Probably won't try it again.
2) Almay Lash Care Eye makeup remover pads - I love these and the idea of them. The pads are soaked with the solution so all you have to do is set it on your eye for a few seconds and wipe away. You can use one for both eyes even on light eye makeup days. These are just convenient. I will repurchase these and have already purchased the ones for waterproof makeup.
3) LUSH's Mask of Magnaminity - I wish this came in a smaller size. I didn't use this up and about 1/2 of it dried out on me so I wasn't able to use it up.I did like the tingly sensation it left on my skin and how refreshed I'd feel after using it. I do like the fact that this isn't like the fresh face masks where it has a short shelf life and needs to be refridgerated. I will probably not repurchase this for awhile.
4) Freeman's Peel Off Mask - I also didn't use the entirety of this item. I also don't think I have the patience to wait for the whole thing to dry before you can peel it off so I probably won't repurchase this again.
5) Biozen anti-age serum -  I bought this quite awhile ago and mainly to use to help the ezcema on my skin on my under-eye region. I also used this all over my face and my skin really reacted well to it. It is a pricier product, but is more natural for the skin. I would repurchase this in the future should my skin act up again.
6) Kracie Moistage Wrinkle Essence Cream - I liked this product a lot and how it left my skin feeling. I have a whole review on it HERE
7) Daiso Honey lotion - I loved everything about this lotion and am so mad I can't find it anymore! This smelled wonderfully with just the right amount of honey essence. This didn't irritate my skin and was perfect for an on-the-go moisturizer to just leave in my car should my face need a pick me up.
8) 40 Carrots Vitamin C serum - I found this at a Marshalls one day and thought it would be something I'd like. It wasn't anything special nor did I notice any affects of the Vitamin C on my skin, but it also didn't irritate my skin which is also good. I won't repurchase this item, it wasn't anything too special.

Body Care
1) Jergen's Natural Glow Revitalizing in medium tan - I have used this for a few years now and always revert back to it. I like to look at Amazon or even places like Ross to find them with special pricing. I do like the Nivea gradual tan lotion better for the scent and how it works on my skin, but I don't know/can't find it in a medium tan shade so I stick to this one. The only negative I have about this is that you do have to be careful while applying and make sure you exfoliate well in the drier areas of your body. I would repurchase this item though.
2) Cetaphil DailyAdvance Ultra Hydrating Lotion - I didn't use the whole thing up and it ended up getting really liquidy on me. I actually didn't think this was as hydrating for my skin as it should have been so I will not be repurchasing it.
3) Dove Cream Oil Lotion - I'm always trying new body lotions and found this Dove one to be quite nice. The smell was clean and it did leave my skin nice and soft. I probably wouldn't repurchase this though only because there are so many other ones I have/want to try out there.
4) Mineral from the Dead Sea Body Peeling Scrub - I found this at Ross and it looked promising. I wanted a good exfoliator for my body and this is definitely a good one, more so if you're into a rougher exfoliator. It had a nice lavender smell, which is always calming, and the minerals/scrub were sitting in a hydrating, almost oily liquid. It was rough and smooth at the same time which I thought was a nice touch. I do not recommend using this over skin breakage or ezcema outbreaks though because that shit will burn! I'd probably stick to the legs and feet and arms. I won't be repurchasing this item though since I have many other scrubs I prefer and more I'd want to try.

Miscellaneous
1) Target Perfect Night candle- saw this on clearance and had to get it. It had a nice warm toasty almost marshmallow + bergamot smell which I enjoyed burning. If I can find it again I would repurchase it.
2) Bath and Body works Pineapple Orchid Candle - This smells like a tropical vacation on the warm beach. Haha. I really enjoyed burning this and it lasted quite a long time. I don't think I'd repurchase this though because I have so many other candles already and I always like trying out new collections.
3) BBW Hand sanitizer in Fresh Linen - I love the smell of fresh laundry and this one was definitely right up my ally. I don't think I would repurchase this, only because I have so many and think I like my Market Peach one better!
4) BBW Hand Sanitizer lotion in Coconut Lime - I didn't use this all up, and the product turned gross on me. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would so I won't be repurchasing it.
5) Suave Hair Detangler in apple - This was decent but not as effective as I'd like it to be. I did enjoy the slight apple scent though. I won't be repurchasing.
4) Target's UP antiseptic mouth rinse - I used most of this on my scalp when I my hair had a bad reaction to a shampoo. It cleansed and calmed my scalp down so it was very effective. I don't like it for a mouth rinse though since it is less minty and has a more intense bite.

Have you tried any of the items I mentioned above? Do you feel the same type of satisfaction oafter using up a product? Let me know!
