DECEMBER NATURE BOX REVIEW

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and if you don't celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a nice holiday/break!
For today's post, I have my December Nature Box review! I made sure to try some items I haven't had before so there so nothing would be too repetitive. Let's take a closer look!

Collaboration with Chairish: Sparkle & Shine

*this post is in collaboration with Chairish.com. I am not being paid for this blog post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I was asked by the wonderful people over at Chairish.com to come up with a styleboard featuring their curated, vintage items. Chairish just recently added vintage accessories and jewelry to their site where they already offer an awesome selection of vintage furniture and décor.
The look I came up with will feature a New Year Party theme that is meant to make a statement with a touch of "sparkle & shine."

Collab w/ Chairish: Sparkle & Shine

SO SEATTLE

Here's an oldie, but a goodie. This outfit was from earlier this year but I realized I never made a detailed outfit post on it, and I figured it's better late than never to share!

GASTROPOD: RESTAURANT REVIEW

Last month, I just so happened to be out with my brother and we were hungry. We were in the SODO area of Seattle and decided to look at Yelp for some guidance. What we found was Gastropod and decided to check it out!

HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE: for the Last Minute Shoppers

Last Minute Holiday Gift Guide
I wanted to get this post out before the weekend so all those people who still haven't bought or finished Christmas shopping could get some inspiration!

SNACK REVIEW: O'Zack Limited Edition Matsutake Flavored Chips

Today I have a quick little post on this Limited Edition Matsutake (pine mushroom) flavored O'zack  chip. O'zack is known for doing a lot of different seasonal and limited edition flavors so when I saw this flavor, I knew I had to try it out.

SWATCH + REVIEW: YSL VOLUPTE SHEER CANDY in #9 Cool Guava

Finally! I have finally decided to touch this beautifully untouched lippie and test it out!
I purchased this YSL Volupte Sheer Candy glossy balm during the Sephora VIB sale in November and have just pulled this baby out within the past week.

NOVEMBER FAVORITES 2014

Where has the time gone?! I'm sure most people are tired of hearing this, but it is true, where did the month of November go? I haven't done a monthly favorites in awhile but I wanted to share some of the things I have been loving last month!

SWATCH + REVIEW: Maybelline Color Tattoo Leather in #80 Creamy Beige

I'm not a huge eye shadow wearer mainly because I don't want to bother with the time and any sort of upkeep. I've also always heard about how wonderful the Maybelline Color Tattoos are but all the colors before used to have some sort of shimmer in it and I'm not really into that look. When I saw that they head this 'leather' line come out with more, almost matte, shades without shimmer, I thought it was about time I picked one up to try and possibly begin wearing.

BIRTHDAY WEEKEND: Revel and Schilling Cider House in Fremont.

A couple weekends ago, I was able to celebrate my birthday (super last minute) with some of my girl friends. We wanted to venture to a different area of Seattle than are usual Capitol Hill and this time we went to the Fremont neighborhood in Seattle just west to the University District.

FIVE FALL LIPSTICKS: DRUGSTORE EDITION

Happy Friday everyone =) . For those that celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday, I hope you all had a wonderful time with friends, family, and food! For those of you that don't, I hope you all had a wonderful day! We're almost done with Fall/Autumn, with a little under a month to go, and I thought it would be a good time to share the lipstick shades that I've been reaching for (some more so than others). The best part of these picks are that they are 1) All drugstore which means they are 2) very affordable!

SWATCH + REVIEW: Milani's #24 Black Cherry Lipstick

It's been awhile since I've tried on a new lipstick (awhile for me is probably not very long for most >.<) and I am super excited for today's lipstick feature! I have been hearing for the longest time about how amazing Milani lipsticks are but have never tried them or any of their lip products before. I finally had the time to go to a store (Fred Meyer's for me) that carries them and picked up one of their Color Statement Lipsticks in #24 Black Cherry.

A Look Back: A Day in Korea

*picture heavy*
Taking a little rewind-my trip to Asia this past September was filled with some delays which left me with one day to play in Korea! We weren't too far away from the Incheon airport, but it was enough to see (and eat!) everything, or as much as we could!
First, let's take a look back to that whole day..

FALL TEA FAVORITES

When the weather gets colder and we get closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas, my tea preferences definitely change and I gravitate towards more spice filled teas.

Coris DIY Stick Candy

One of my favorite things about Japanese candies and snacks is how kawaii (cute) they make everything! Look at this packaging! How can you not want to try it out?! The one thing I really enjoy most about some of these candies is that they are D.I.Y. so they make excellent gifts for little kids and great for stocking stuffers. There's more fun making them than actually eating them, in my opinion.

SEPHORA VIB HAUL 2014

I always love haul videos/blog posts since I am always interested to see what people have purchased. It also gives me so ideas on future products to pick up and honestly fulfills my nosy curiosity! With that being said, today I wanted to share the items I picked up recently from the Sephora VIB sale. My order online finally came in in addition to one item I picked in stores. I was able to purchase a couple items I've had on my wish list with some modifications, and as you start browsing online, other things tend to catch your attention more!

The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan

Check out my latest book review on, The Lost Hero, this fantasy-adventure novel by Rick Riordan.
If you're a fan of his work (or Percy Jackson), definitely check out this series!

You can find it HERE =)

Readers, do you like fantasy/science fiction novels? What are your favorite books? Let me know!

Playlist #2: Chill-out Vibes

Just a few songs on repeat when I'm in more in my low-key chill moods. Some old, some new, I don't believe that music has an expiration date. Whether you're reading, stretching out in a studio, hanging out with friends, or hanging out in a hoop like me (hehe, this pose is actually not hang out worthy), these are the songs good for those times =)

Aerial Hoop/Lyra is becoming one of my new favorite things.

Malaysia Day 1 & 2: Food and more food

*Okay, a little bit of backtracking in my posts. It took awhile to narrow down the photos and I'll hopefully post up the rest of the trip pictures soon!*
@ Todak Waterfront
First couple days in Malaysia were filled with seeing all the family, shopping, getting some beauty treatments, and of course, eating! I don't want this post to be too wordy (since I have lots more to come) so I'll let the pictures do the talking!

Nate's Wings & Waffles: Restaurant Review

For those of us who grew up in the Seattle area and paid attention to Metro League basketball during the early 2000s, you may have heard of a local, rising, basketball star from Rainier Beach High School (I still remember being 13 and seeing a high school game of his in 2002) going on to do big things at the University of Washington. Then you may have heard this local Seattle star becoming a star in the NBA, winning the 2006 All-Star weekend, Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk Contest (and winning the title 2 more times after). Now a player for the Denver Nuggets, Nate Robinson still holds pride in Seattle and just recently opened up a restaurant, not even a mile away from his old high school, in the Rainier Beach South Seattle area.

Sephora VIB Sale 2014 Wish List

Sephora VIB Sale 2014 Wish Lish

Sephora VIB Sale 2014 Wish List by kchan89

With the Sephora 2014 VIB sale in full force, I though I would share a few items that I have been eyeing for quite some time! I attended a VIB Rouge event with a friend on the first day of the sale (post here and I plan on making an online purchase shortly. Some of these would be perfect not only for yourself, but for gifts to family and friends that would love/appreciate these products, especially the gift sets.

Sephora VIB Rouge Event 2014

Last Wednesday, I went to the Sephora VIB Rouge event with a friend. We went to the one at Southcenter Mall and the store was closed at 7pm so VIB Rouge members + a guest could have the store to themselves. There were different vendors in attendance along with different beauty treatments available for attendees.

Check out Bodeoo.com - a new online clothing store!

*this post is in collaboration with Bodeoo.com*

Recently, there have been many new online stores that have been popping up all over. One that really caught my eye is Bodeoo.com and if you're into fun pieces, you should definitely check them out!

They just re-launched their store this month and it is amazing. Their clothing line is unique and offers every style along with their amazing selection of shoes and accessories. Personally, the clutches and maxi dresses are some of my favorite pieces! If you love comic books and anything with a more cartoon feel, you have to check out their fabulous line of skirts and pants. You won’t be disappointed! And everything sells for an affordable price, too.

Nature Box Subscription-October 2014 Review

After I received my sample Nature Box, I could NOT wait a whole month to try some other ones, so, I went ahead and ordered the full sized one a week after!

Pink for October

Happy Halloween everyone! What are everyone's plans for tonight? I don't know about you guys, but where I live, it is pouring down rain so I will most likely be staying cozy at home..or perhaps go to the mall with my friend to bring her kid trick or treating! Everyone that celebrates this day, stay safe and stay warm and dry!
With the month of October coming to a close, I thought I would share some "pink" items for National Breast Cancer Awareness.

School Girl and Bad Girl Mime: Last Minute Halloween Costume Tutorial

If you're super last minute like me or just found out about a Halloween party, you may need to be quick and think of a quick yet fun costume! I didn't feel like spending any extra money or really take the time to shop for anything, so, I dug through my closet and found a striped crop top that instantly made me think: MIME! I styled two different options for the mime look-one school girl and girly, and the other more badass and cold weather friendly(er) with the same make-up look for both.

New In: Fall for Forever 21

Not too long ago, Forever 21 had promo for 30% off an entire order and I thought i'd just browse around and I'm so glad I did! The first thing to catch my eyes were those heeled combat boots (above) then some of the other stuff just happened to sneak into my car..hehe

Bath and Body Works Haul: Candles and Fall Sale 2014

When Bath and Body Works has a sale on their candles on top of an already on-going Fall sale, and I have a 25% off coupon for my entire purchase, you know i'm going to take all out advantage on that!

Baked Potato and Butter flavored Noodle Snack: Review

Today I have a quick little snack post I wanted to share. I bought this while I was in Hong Kong since a) I just love Japanese snacks, b) This brand is ridiculously hard to find in the US, and c) Hellooo, can you say kawaii packaging?! (Kawaii = cute)
I don't read Japanese at all, but from the picture and flavor of this noodle snack, it is safe to assume it is a baked potato butter flavored one (if anyone can directly translate this, that would be awesome!) Also, these are the same noodle snacks from the brand Baby Star (that's just what I've always known it as but I'm not sure if that's the real brand or not!)

SWATCH + REVIEW: NYX Simply Vamp, Simply Red, & Simply Nude Lip Creams

These first came to my attention when I had a saw a picture of a friend wearing the Simply Vamp in Temptress and I had no idea these even came out! I then searched online to find more info about this line and to my surprise, there are more of these 'Simply' lines: Simply Vamp, Simply Red, Simply Pink and Simply Nude. I didn't pick any of the Simply Pink lippies, but I did try a red and nude.

Boo! Surprise.

I pretty much turn full on Otaku (Japanese term that loosely translates to people with obsessive interests, commonly in anime and manga) when I see cute/quirky shirts that have to do with anime/video games/TV shows, etc, and of course I got super giddy when I found this Boo, ghost character from Nintendo,  at an Anime convention I went to a couple years ago.

Nature Box: Sample Box

I wanted to come on here to quickly talk about my first Nature Box purchase (sort of) that has been blowing up recently.

SWATCH + REVIEW: NYX Wicked Lippie in Betrayal, Trickery, Risque, and Envy

I had no idea NYX was coming out with these Wicked Lippies until I actually went on their website to purchase another item. I saw the beautiful jewel tone lipsticks and knew I had to pick a few up!

Fong Ip Cafe in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

Today's Malaysia post will be about this local café in the city of Kota Kinablu.
So, I may be a bit biased about this place (my uncle's shop basically), but I really do enjoy the environment and food here!
If Anthony Bourdain ever sees this, he needs to go to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia and my uncle could seriously be his best tour guide, hehe >.<

Fong Ip Café was named for my great-grandfather, Fong Ip, and Fong is their family name (so in Western terms it would be Ip Fong).

Product Review: Annie's Way Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brighting Jelly Mask

*This is a sponsored post. The item was sent to me by YesStyle for review purposes. I am not getting paid to write this review. All thoughts and opinions on this product are my own*

Last month, I was sent this
Arbutin + Hyaluronic Acid Brighting Jelly Mask from YesStyle for review purposes.
Being the skin care lover that I am, I had to give this product a shot. I love products with hyaluronic acid in them and I know my skin reacts really well to it. I usually have pretty dry skin, and especially with the weather changing from Summer to Fall, I felt that my skin could use the extra hydration!
Let's take a closer look at the product...

September Favorites 2014: Travel Edition

I did a major amount of traveling in September, so when it came around to thinking about what my favorite products were, they all turned out to be travel friendly items (surprise, surprise)!

Limited Edtion Calbee Meet Ghost-Bat Halloween Snack Borscht Flavor: Review

In spirit of it now being October and Halloween coming at the end of the month, I thought I would squeeze in this little product review on a Limited Edition snack I bought while I was in Hong Kong!

Street Market Orange

Here's another quick post to show the outfit I wore when I was in the popular Gaya Street Sunday Market in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia. I will be doing another separate post later really going into detail on everything you can expect from it!

Main St. Gyros in Pioneer Square Seattle: Restaurant Review

Here's another quick food post on a little corner place that sells Mediterranean food called Main St. Gyros. Located in Pioneer Square, this place is surrounded by local businesses, shops,
