LIFE FAST DIE YOUNG

I love M.I.A.'s song 'Bad Girls' and fell even more in love with the music video which I only just recently saw.
The music video is sick and the car scenes matches so well with the beats. I love her eccentric style and  thought I would recreate one of her looks.

"Live fast, die young, bad girls do it well"

(watch the music video ^^)

This is song to me is pretty bada$$ and she gives off an "I don't give a ****" type of attitude and I feel that it is translated in her outfits with all the mix of colors, prints and textures. The colors are bold and the mix in clothing is not what i'd ever normally wear so I though it would be fun to jump out of the box.

In the outfit I wanted to recreate, she rocks grey leopard pants, a light green button up and a thick yellow hooded jacket.
I had all the basic elements but added my own twist.

I had a bright lime green plaid button up and a long yellow cardigan. I didn't have leopard pants but I had leopard shorts. Instead of flats, I paired the outfit with my new Jeffrey Campbell Soiree Clear Sandal Heels.
I stuck to pretty much everything being similar to her look. I love how there is contrast in colors and well as contrast in prints.
