FRENCH MACARON CLASS WITH BELLS PASTRIES

About a month ago, I had the privilege of taking a French Macaron class with Jasmin Bell of Bells Pastries! This was an awesome experience and I can't thank Jasmin enough for the invite to try out one of her classes. She offers a variety of baking classes but being the French Macaron lover that I am, I had to take this that one!

The class was held at Le Rêve, a French bakery located in Queen Anne and I loved the cute homey feel of the location! Jasmin provided some light snacks and refreshments (hello, wine!) and we had a nice and small class. and were paired up.

Everyone had an instruction sheet with areas to write tips and tricks and I loved that she used equipment that you can find at home, because let's be honest, not all of us have a bakery in our disposal! With 8 of us there. we were able to make 8 different macaron flavors. Jasmni guided us through all the steps to make macarons from creating the perfect shell to different ways to make fillings and combine flavors. She promised us that everyone would be able to make macarons and that promise was 100% kept!

The end product for all of us were very impressive, especially noobs such as myself who have failed miserably at making macarons in the past. The class is about 2.5 hours long and is definitely fun and educational. I can't recommend Jasmin's classes enough! She is extremely knowledgeable as a pastry chef and is fun to be around. Small intimate classes really allows her to help each and every single person. This class would be great for a girl's night out or even part of a birthday or bachelorette party!

Jasmin not only teaches classes on the French Macaron, but other pastry classes as well! Check out her website for class schedules, and follow her on Facebook and Instagram!
