I've been waiting for a long time to pick up one of the new Vivids lipsticks by Maybelline especially since I didn't know what color to get. I realized I needed a good bright coral color, more on the orange side, lipstick in my collection since I had colors close to the rest of them so I settled for the color Vibrant Mandarin.
I couldn't find too many YouTube videos or blogposts on this color so I had to do some digging on my own to make sure it was the color I was looking for!

These lipsticks retail anywhere from $5.99 to $8.99 that i've seen, depending where you go. I got mines on a buy one get one half off deal at Fred Meyers (I don't know if this is a Washington only place) and there regular retail is $7.49 but since I bought another item for the same price, and had a $1.00 off coupon they both averaged out to be about to be $5.11
(I highly recommend looking at your Sunday paper if possible for manufacturer coupons)

I love the formula on these. I'm not a huge lipstick person, I like more glossy or lip balm/light weight stuff like the Maybelline Whispers since my past experience with Maybelline lipsticks is that I found them to be more drying.
This however wasn't drying at all. It is super creamy, and glids on smooth, I even had a little chapping on my lips but it wasn't really noticeable when applying it on.
If you're into bright colors or want to venture out, OR looking for a good orangey-coral color for Spring and Summer, definitely check this one out especially since it's waaay more affordable than high-end stuff!
Below are just some more pictures of the lipstick on. All were taken w/ natural lighting from my window.

This is the lipstick after eating some noodle soup and giving my mouth a quick rinse. I'd say the staying power on it isn't too bad. |
