Go Mariners

I was inspired by Fanatics.com to create a 'Sports Luxe' look and I wanted to my feature my favorite baseball team. I created a look featuring one of their MLB Hats from their site and of course I chose my home team, the Seattle Mariners.  Click the link below for more details on this Seattle Mariners inspired, game day outfit.

The star of the show is of course the New Era Seattle Mariners fitted cap. The hat is the only pop of color in this look while the rest of the ensemble is monochrome and I really wanted the hat to stand out. There's definitely more of a tomboy vibe to the look with some girly elements.
Seattle's weather is unpredictable so I wanted to make sure I had an outfit that could adjust to both cold and hot weather. These active wear joggers not only look fancier than they are, they're also a whole lot more comfortable. I paired these up with some classic black Chuck Taylors to add to the comfort level. To keep things a bit girly, I opted for this cut out black crop top to add some interest to the piece. Since the joggers are high-waisted, the crop top doesn't reveal too much. Plus, since it usually gets cold at baseball games (unless we're in middle of summer), this black and white leather bomber jacket from Mango will do the trick to A) keep you warm and B) keep you looking chic while doing it.

There's only a few accessories I thought would work well with this look: a black backpack and a black watch. This particular Topshop Faux Leather Backpack is perfect for a game since it has a lot of room in it for you to keep you game day necessities suck as snacks, sunglasses, lotions, etc. Plus, since it is faux leather, you don't have to worry too much about if someone accidently spills some beer on it! The black leather watch by Nixon is also a great finisher to the piece adding a bit of arm candy while keeping the time.
You also want to smell good throughout the day so keeping a nice fresh rollerball on hand, like this one by Ralph Lauren will be good for touch ups and is in a convenient size. I wouldn't bother too much with makeup since you'll probably be drinking and eating all the foods and you don't want to worry about your lipstick smearing! Opt for a nice lip balm, like this one from EOS, to keep your lips hydrated. It's also a great conversational piece and you'll never know who's attention you'll get.
Fanatics.com can help you with all your game day looks even if you're not a baseball fan. They have teams from across all sports and leagues that where you are bound to find some gear to work for you.
