The Nintendo Look - N64

With my upcoming trip to Japan (home to some of my favorite items/shows/characters/etc), I was inspired to wear some of my favorites in this look. I'm a kid at heart, especially when it comes to video games and one of my all-time favorite  gaming counsels, the Nintendo 64 (N64). I would have to say my favorite games to play were, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, Bomberman, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and of course Super Smash Brothers!

I still love playing video games but with the whole 'adulting' thing, I don't get to play as often as I want but when I do have some time, I like to play my favorites on my trusty 3DS (currently replaying Ocarina of Time for the millionth time, hah!). When I can't play my favorite games, I like to wear it - I'm a huge sucker for video/anime/cartoon inspired clothing and accessories and incorporating them into my every day style. 

When I heard that Nintendo was going to partner up with Vans last year, I was so excited! Then when I saw the pieces they came out with, I was instantly in love with this Nintendo character filled slip-on sneaker. The best part of the shoes? The soles on the bottom have an 8-bit looking writing of " GAME OVER" on them. So. Much. Yes! The latest video game inspired piece I added to my collection was this N64 hoodie from Urban Outfitters. I love how simple this hoodie is and the fact that I can pair it with a variety of pieces. Plus, it has the logo of my favorite gaming counsel on on it!
