Rimmel's Show off Lip Lacquers in #600 Nude Eclipse & #201 Solstice: Swatch + Review

Walgreens was having a sale on the Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquers ($3.99 + additional $1 off coupon) so I couldn't help but pick more up! I picked up 4 more in total but today I'll be reviewing Nude Eclipse and Solstice. To see swatches of Big Bang, Apocaliptic and Celestial click HERE.

Like the others, there is a typical doe-foot sponge tip applicator which applies a decent amount of products

Swatches are indoors with natural lighting.

The first color I applied on was Nude Eclipse and it was waayyyy too nude for me. I feel like you either have to be fairer or darker in order for it to not completely wash you out. However, I did find that this color works as a concealer/lip base for other lip products where I may want the color to pop out more. At first I was disappointed but after I found another use for it, I was surprsingly pleased. The product is sticky enough where whatever color I choose to put over (in lipstick form) would stay put especially if I sheer it out a bit since it is so pigmented.

The next color I applied was Solstice and it was definitely a winner. You could wear this color as an every day color easily. Like the others, it is very pigmented and a little goes a long way.It is a nice pink mauve color with just the right amount of shine, another my lips but better color.

I love these products and can't recommend them enough. The formulation on them are incredible without being too tacky or uncomfortable. They do glide on smooth and have an amazing color payoff. Plus, they are fairly cheap with at most being about $4.99 and even cheaper if you can find them on sale and with coupons. They last a good deal too on the lips and require touchups after you eat or drink, but not much else. You do need a mirror to apply these and they can transfer onto your teeth if you don't blot out the product from the center of your lips,  but other than that, I would highly recommend them!

Havc you tried the Rimmel Show Off/Apocalips? Whats your favorite color??
