Mini Lush Haul-hair & skin products

I wanted to start off this 2014 year by taking extra good care of my long hair, therefor, I decided to hit up LUSH to see what goodies I could use!
My hair is really long, like, past my butt long, and I need extra nutrients and moisture to keep it at its best. I noticed my hair becoming a little lacking during the past couple months (probably due to the cold weather) so I decided it was time to get some good quality products to maintain it.

The first item I picked up was Godiva Solid Shampoo ($11.95).  As described on the site this solid shampoo is a,
"2-in-1 jasmine shampoo with conditioning buttersOur vegan, 2-in-1 shampoo bar cleans and conditions your hair with moisturizing nut oils and shea butter. These butters and oils care for dry, processed locks and leave you with glossy, shiny, and softened tresses. Long used as a tonic for the hair and scalp, jasmine also perfumes your locks with an ultra-sexy fragrance with serious staying power. Named after a certain naked protestor, Godiva gets to work sending a message to your hair."

This product features :
  • "Butters and nuts: We combine nut oils, cocoa and shea butters to moisturize dry hair.
  • Sumo smooth: Used by sumo wrestlers, smoothing camellia oil makes hair manageable.
  • Perfect for on-the-go types: Cleansing and conditioning, you can wash and go with just this and still have fabulous hair"
I already used it once to test it out and immediately loved it. I shampoo'd without using a conditioner after and found that I don't really need one when I use this. I have to test it out more to see how it goes in the long run but for now, I am pleased with it. I may do a full review on this after a couple weeks use.

The next item I bought I wanted to use in conjunction to the solid shampoo. I have also been looking for a very good leave in conditioner and decided to go with the R&B Hair Moisturizer. This item is a little pricier at $22.95 for a 3.5 oz pot, but the lady that helped me at LUSH said it lasts a long time since a little goes a long way and I do believe her in that since the product is so thick and smooth.

"Revive and balance misbehaving hair
Enjoy some of our smooth R & B hair stylings to control your frizzy, flyaway hair. An instant best-seller, our easy-to-use “hair finisher” uses softening ingredients of organic avocado butter, oatmeal, olive oil, extra virgin coconut oil, jojoba oil and candelilla wax because they are extremely effective for conditioning the hair and scalp. Three of our UK shop managers came up with R & B to revive and balance their wayward follicles. It works well with African American or curly hair because it conditions with a lot of moisture. And once you smell the seductive orange blossom and jasmine fragrance, your hair will truly get its groove back."
I used this right after I shampoo'd my hair and can already tell you that this is a winner. My hair was so smooth and soft after applying it to my just washed hair and as it tried, my hair became really soft to the touch. My hair also smells wonderful with the combination of the solid bar and this moisturizer. I applied the majority of the product from the length of my hair to the tips then whatever was left over on my fingers I just massaged on my scalp area. Since this product is so thick, don't go too overboard with it or you can look like a grease ball, especially if you use it on dry hair. So far so good and I am already happy with the results!

The last product I bought, I was kinda suckered into. I have eczema and it sometimes appears on my face. The lady that helped me suggested this Full of Grace serum ($14.95) which is a preservative free solid moisturizing bar. This solid moisturizing serum is,

"is packed full of hydrating tropical butters, calming chamomile and antioxidant mushroom extract to keep your skin in fantastic condition, all year round. Easily absorbed by the skin, Full of Grace creates a soothing treatment for the face. This preservative-free bar is a staple product; it’s the kind of treatment you should give your skin to maintain its elasticity, moisture and glow."

I've used this twice and haven't used it enough to see any real results. The lady said that many customers have come back saying this helped with their facial eczema so I hope it helps with mine too!

I really hope the hair products keep my hair strong and healthy with less fall out along with making it soft and shiny and I hope the serum will work some type of magic on my sensitive skin! As part of my beauty-care resolution, I plan to be more diligent in my skin and especially in my hair care and I believe these products will guide me in the right direction!
